Élevage: spontaneously acidified, then spontaneously fermented and matured in neutral oak barrels from four berliner messe brewing seasons (three total brewing seasons): spring 2016, fall 2016, spring 2017, fall 2017. the fall 2016 and spring 2017 components were aged entirely in port barrels, one of which was designated "LBBL", composed of four consecutive batches of wort: two pale and two golden (without spontaneous pre-acidification). the average age at bottling is eighteen months.
